Question asked in Parliament – Same Old Reply

The government continues to be pressured to act upon, or even provide some actual answers, regarding its promise to accelerate the development, validation, and uptake of alternatives to phase out animal testing.

Here is another brilliant question in Parliament highlighting the urgency to move science forward into the 21st century, away from failing methods based on animal models, and towards human biology technologies that provide better and more relevant results.

Parliamentary questions are coming thick and fast, yet the government continues to use its rhetorical language to provide vacuous and vague replies.

While millions of animals continue to die in laboratories, Labour says announcements on their plans will be made in due course. What the hell does “due course” mean?

This week just witnessed yet another van load of puppies taken to be tortured inside Sequani in cruel, useless 70-year-old toxicology tests.

“Due course” was too late to save this weeks victims… it NEEDS TO BE NOW.

More and more MPs are asking the government to take action regarding animal testing because it’s becoming more and more obvious that it’s failing animals, patients, medicine, and science.

Please contact your MP and encourage them to speak up for the animals suffering and dying in laboratories and build upon the pressure to develop scientific knowledge using methodologies based on human biology.
