Labour Announce Home Office Team – Is Change Coming?

The Home Office is fully in charge of animal experiments, as it has been for over 100 years. The last major piece of legislation passed was in 1986, yet it did not ban one single animal experiment…in fact it legalised previously prohibited practices.

The cruel, useless toxicolgy tests for regulatory procedures to which the MBR beagles are subjected to have remained unchanged in 70 years. There is a department within the Home Office, ASRU (Animals In Science Regulation Unit), which specifically deals with animal testing, but is run by civil servants, paid for by the animal testing industry.

ASRU is steeped in decades of bureaucratic inaction and institutionalised blind support for the animal testing industry. It is desperately overue for a complete overhaul.

These civil servants will be the ones to brief the new ministers…Please urge the new Home Office Team of Ministers to not just blindly accept the advice of civil servants who have rubber stamped animal testing for decades but to listen to the people, to modern science, to their hearts and minds instead.

Government after Government have literally done nothing to stop animal testing.

The time has come to stop animal testing – No more torture – No more lies – It’s vilence NOT science

Something has to be done about the horrors of MBR ACRES.
