Today, 1st February, marks the 30th anniversary of the death of animal rights campaigner Jill Phipps who died while protesting against the export of live animals from Coventry Airport.
Jill was among demonstrators making their voices heard when she was crushed beneath a 50-tonne lorry.
Below is a fitting tribute by Camp Beagle’s John Curtin who was a good friend of Jill.
The fight for animal rights continues at Camp Beagle every single day until every cage is empty.
