Being outside of MBR Acres, the industrial dog breeding facility, only on very few occasions do you see the actual beagles puppies; yes you hear them, you smell them but a glimpse of one is rare.
An active supporter of Camp Beagle has been counting the days when he could collect his beagle puppy and welcome her into his family.
Today was that day.
Unlike the beagles in MBR Acres,
– The 8 week old beagle has a name, Larissa.
– she will be welcomed into a loving family
– she will have toys ready and waiting to either be played with or probably chewed
– she will be taken out for a walk to experience new sights and smells
– she will have her own bed to sleep on whenever she wants
– she will have her own food and water bowl
– she will be loved and showed off throughout her life.
Just take a moment to contrast Larissa’s life to that of a beagle bred at MBR Acres; that is why Camp Beagle will continue to campaign for MBR Acres to be closed and testing on beagles banned and replaced with NAMs.
Every week or so we will be documenting Larissa’s early life up until the time that she is 16 week old – the exact same time that MBR Acres beagles leave their hell hole and delivered to labs up and down the country.
