Camp Beagle received a sad message from a loyal supporter advising us that her dog, who visited camp many times, had crossed the rainbow bridge.
Camp Beagle always welcomes visitors with a customary mug of tea and a slice of cake; visiting dogs tend to get the VIP treatment as it brings it home that some lucky dogs live the life that all dogs deserve, love, attention, walks, a soft bed – the list goes on.
Henry was recused after his ‘career’ of being a racing greyhound – he went on to being a petting dog in local hospitals and care homes – he lived his life to the full.
Camp will miss Henry and the countless times that he would just sit, or mostly lay down, craving strokes from anyone who would give the loving dog attention – how could anyone refuse? Most couldn’t.
Whilst this is a tribute to Henry it is also a tribute to all dogs as they make the world a better place, give unconditional love and have a level of loyalty only us mere humans can dream of.
Fly high Henry 🙁
