Tax payers money well spent, really?
Operation Vastus, which was initiated after the setting up of Camp Beagle, was flagged up by the Chief Constable of CaMBRidgeshire Police, Nick Dean, in the 2022/23 annual Statement of Accounts:
“Across most areas both police officer and staff overtime has overspent and the Operational Support unit incurred an overspend on police officer pay and allowances largely due to Operation Vastus ongoing”
