Standing On The Shoulders Of Giants
Dogs have been bred at the Wyton site, now occupied by MBR Acres, for nearly 50 years. Before MBR Acres purchased the site in 2017, it was owned by several other companies, including Interfauna in the 1990s and Harlan in the 2000s.
Prior to the establishment of Camp Beagle in 2021, there had been other campaigns and actions opposing the breeding of dogs at the Wyton site. At Camp Beagle, we recognise that we stand on the shoulders of giants who have long fought to end the suffering that has been perpetuated at Wyton for decades.
Below are examples of some of the activities that took place before Camp Beagle existed:
1990: 17th March: 82 Beagles & 26 Rabbits liberated from Interfauna.

1999, 5th November: 79 Beagle liberated during a night raid
Camp Beagle has received an anonymous account of the liberation on these beagles and is shared here as a historical reference of the Wyton site

2012, June: Free the MBR Beagles
Free the MBR Beagles released the first covert expose of the MBR beagles being moved around the site inside trolleys and being loaded into the back of vans to be taken to laboratories. The images were published on an expose printed by The Mirror, a national newspaper and they crated huge public outcry.
