In Focus: Merseyside Animal Rights Campaigns

Merseyside Animal Rights Campaigns – Closing MBR Acres for good, raising public awareness, protesting isn’t just done by Camp Beagle as up and down the country there are groups who campaign week in week out.

Today we put the spotlight on Merseyside Animal Rights Campaigns who have been busy over the past week or so as their own account below confirms.

1. Activists headed towards Stretford, Manchester for Lindstrom as the first stop.

This is the laundry supplier for MBR, we can only assume washing the puppies blood from their uniforms.

Upon arrival the staff started running around shouting ‘they’re here, they’re here’. Expecting us now the secret is out that you deal in blood money? Overkill by the Police only created more interest in our presence, with all their neighbours keen to take leaflets and express their disgust at MBR and Lindstroms involvement.

We left but will return until they stop dealing with animal abuse.

2. We headed to Stericycle Bolton. As we arrived a supplier for them was trying to take things away. He was completely on our side, he turned away a parcel arriving for Stericycle from a courier and later left saying he will leave the stuff to another day and wished us luck.

This depot is in Bolton Hospital, many staff and visitors took leaflets, one doctor came over taking pics and selfies for his Instagram!

Staff even suggested gluing ourselves to the gates! Great support from them today!

As per usual they locked the site down immediately and even sent some staff home! Again Stericycle, MBR just aren’t worth it!

3) Final stop was Thermo King. Supplying some sort of refrigeration. We arrived and a member of staff in the car park instantly began running to let people know we were there, again it was like they expected protesters now they had been exposed! We began putting banners up and using the megaphone, whilst hoards of staff from other companies came to take leaflets and everyone was horrified to hear about MBR ACRES. One guy was questioning that we couldn’t take on companies as big as this.

Then ten minutes later a member of staff came out issuing a statement severing all ties to MBR! People power!

“Never stop believing that a small group of determined, compassionate people can make a difference.”
“These protests are for the puppies taken from MBR this week to labs to be used in the most horrendous, unimaginable horrific experiments. Our hearts break, but we are fighting for you little ones.”
