Huntingdon MP Asks Question in Parliament

Huntingdon MP, Ben Obese-Jecty, asked the Government for the full list of sites that could be inspected by the Animals in Science Regulations Unit. (ASRU)

The Government dodged the question, making reference to an Annual Report which is heavily censored.

Earlier this year, via an FOI request, we asked the Home Office to clarify how many sites housing animals for scientific procedures are there in GB.

We were astonished to hear the Home Office does not know how many sites there are as they only keep a record of the number of licensed establishment.

A licensed establishment, such as Labcorp, has several sites around the country, for example in Harrogate and Huntingdon, yet the Government keeps no track of how many sites each licensed establishment has.

There’s NO accountability in animal testing, just profits, suffering and ultimate death.
