Harry Bond, Laboratory Survivor, Passed over Rainbow Bridge

It is with great sadness that we share the news that Harry, a Laboratory Survivor, has passed 28th July 2025.

Harry was the Brother of Scarlett, Camp Beagle’s Ambassador.

Scarlett’s Human mum wrote on her Facebook,

Harry Bond, laboratory survivor and brave beagle hero sadly passed over Rainbow Bridge on 28/7/25 🌈

Harry was diagnosed with a thyroid carcinoma earlier this year and a tumour started to grow in his neck and lung. He battled bravely through with his treatment; although he had tired days, he was still ‘spinning’ (dancing) and “arroooing” happily for food and attention right up until the day before his mummy and daddy knew it was time.

Nina, Harry’s mom and Paul, Harry’s daddy made sure that beautiful Harry never got to the point of suffering.

He passed at home in the arms of his loving family, pain free and surrounded by immense love.

Harry is Scarlett’s brother, he was rescued by Beagle Freedom Project in December 2016, from a toxicology lab in Hungary. He was one of seven beagles flown over to the U.K. and was forever homed by Nina, Paul, Jack, Alfie and brother Buddy the border terrier, who he adored.

Harry had a wonderful life, his emotional special needs catered for. He lived a life knowing he was king of the house, he was never, ever told off even when he was naughty, which he could be! 😉

A typical beagle, he loved food and helped himself to his family’s food too!

Harry was born in the notorious MBR, North Rose, USA. He came to Camp Beagle in August 2021 on a big demo day to show his support to save the MBR beagles with sister Scarlett, he delighted everyone.

We will WIN the fight against MBR, because like his Mummy says… “Love ALWAYS wins”

Rest in Power sweet Harry Bond, perfect boy, you were so loved, by so many. Time to join the other beagles over the rainbow and “Arrooooo” as loud as your heart desires.

Harry was a ‘lucky’ Lab survivor – he got to experience the love of a family.

Fly High Harry  and play with those other Beagles!
