CaMBRidgeshire Police - Private Security Firm for MBR Acres?

MBR Acres Saturday 5th July 2025 and there are over 1,200 beagles locked away in metal clad sheds. Inside MBR Acres there are three, possibly four security guards – complete with a guard dog unit (Pretty ironic guard dogs protecting dogs?) Six MBR puppy killers/shit shovellers started work at 7.30am and at 10.45am they had finished ‘caring for the beagles’ and were lined up in their cars ready to leave the puppy site. So why didn’t the workers leave immediately? Cambridgeshire Constabulary LogoOne small problem – CaMBRidgeshire Police hadn’t turned up to escort them out.  At 11am a Police patrol car arrived with two Police Constables. The gates then opened – two security staff, well away from the actual gate, ensured that the cars left without incident. The two police officers viewed the exit from the comfort of their patrol car some 30 feet away from the MBR Acres gates whilst causing an obstruction along the road. At 3.30pm one, yes one, MBR puppy killer arrived to run through the sheds and tick the boxes that ALL the beagles have been seen to, adequately fed, watered and checked on – just to show the Home Office what a caring company Marshall BioResources is. At 4.30pm two CaMBRidgeshire Police Officers were again in attendance to escort the sole worker out.
‘The Government Continues to support MBR’.

This week answering a question from Huntingdon MP Ben Obsese-Jecty, Feryal Clark, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Department for Science, replied that ‘The Government Continues to support MBR’.

It is becoming increasingly clear that the Government support of MBR Acres extends to CaMBRidgeshire Police who are increasingly spending more time and resources escorting workers from the site.

Mis-use of valuable Police time and resources?

Cambridgeshire Constabulary’s 2025-26 budget is £205.2 million, with £104.2 million coming from a Home Office grant and £92.7 million from local council tax payers. The force is facing challenges due to underfunding compared to other forces and a growing population, while also dealing with rising costs and inflation. i.e. they are cash strapped!

Is this a mis-use of valuable Police time and resources? You decide.
