Betrayed by the Government
During October to December 2025, the same government that allegedly is phasing out animal testing, granted 111 licences authorising the use of 1,542,870 animals, including three licences to test on 5,450 beagles.
The licences that the Home Office grants to test on animals are kept secret. The public is only allowed to see redacted summaries, which are published quarterly.
The evidence proving that animal testing is a scientific failure is irrefutable: 92–96% of drugs do not progress beyond human clinical trials, either because they do not work or because they prove to be toxic, despite passing animal tests.
New technologies and methodologies produce superior, more accurate, and genuinely relevant results at a fraction of the cost. Everyone, except the government, is ready to consign animal testing to the dark pages of history.
