CaMBRidgeshire Police - New tactic when workers leave?
Nothing is ‘normal’ when it comes to MBR Acres but one thing you can count on is the exact time that the workers leave during the week – 4pm.
Watch the video below of the workers leaving at 4pm – Notice anything different or out of the ordinary?
Notice any traffic apart from the exiting workers?
MBR Acres/Camp Beagle are located along the B1090, which tends to be a cut through to and from the St Ives area to the A1 and attracts a high level of traffic from lorries to vans and from cars to agricultural vehicles.
Two Police cars were seen to drive past MBR Acres at around 3.50pm. At around 4pm the busy road was quiet with no traffic.
Approximately 200 metres either side of the main gates of MBR Acres the Police cars had stopped the traffic (or lack of) to enable the workers to exit ‘safely’.
After the workers had exited both Police cars left with now a huge tailback of frustrated drivers behind them, some of whom took their anger out towards Camp thinking that they had caused the hold up.
Is this a new policy from CaMBRidgeshire Police, dictated by the Home Office, as the site has been deemed as being key to ‘National Security Status‘?
Whatever the reasoning behind this policy it is clearly a waste of taxpayers money and the resources of the hard pressed CaMBRidgeshire Police as throughout 4 years plus of Camp Beagle’s existence not once has any MBR Acres staff been stopped from exiting.*
* apart from the occasional demo where the Police are out in force.
